Edward has dropped into the Carington Arms in Ashby Folville for a pint, and to highlight the importance of supporting our local pubs this summer.
Local pubs, like the Carington Arms in Ashby Folville, which successfully reopened last year, are at the heart of our local communities, whether in rural villages, or in towns like Melton Mowbray or Syston. Our local pubs not only provide employment, contribute to our local and national economy, and provide a focal point for our communities to come together to enjoy good food or a drink, but they are also part of the history and fabric of our villages and towns. But as with any business or service, if you value it you need to use it, so Edward is encouraging everyone this summer to take the time to drop into their local pub to enjoy a pint or a soft drink, or some good pub food.
Edward said: "As someone who enjoys a pint, and who recognises the value of our local pubs, not just to our economy, but to our communities, it is hugely important that we support this central feature of so many of our villages and high streets, and a feature of British life. It was a real pleasure to enjoy a drink and a warm welcome at the Carington Arms in Ashby Folville, and I would encourage everyone to support the local pub this summer!"
