Edward has teamed up with Groby’s County Councillor, Ozzy O’Shea in a campaign calling on Leicestershire County Council to replace the 36 lamp columns on Sacheverell Way that LCC has cut down recently.
Edward has paid a visit to the team from ‘Beat’ when they visited the Ministry of Justice with a ‘pop-up’ information desk, giving staff and visitors to the department the opportunity to get more information about eating disorders, and the support that is available.
As in previous years, Edward has joined local Councillor James Poland, Thrussington’s Parish Council Chairman, Tom Prior, and a host of local residents to take part in the village’s annual litter-pick.
Edward has attended an event in Parliament run by the charity Guide Dogs to raise awareness of discrimination against guide dog owners. He heard from guide dog owners about the impact of being turned away by businesses because of their dog.
Edward has joined Leicester South MP, Jon Ashworth, at Leicester Cathedral to be briefed on the latest progress in the Leicester Cathedral Revealed project by the Dean of Leicester and the project team.
Edward has joined other MPs and Peers to meet with Cats Protection, the UK’s leading cat charity which helps over 200,000 cats every year, at its annual event in Parliament to celebrate the charity’s work, and discuss its current campaigns.
Following its success in bidding for £20,000 grant funding from the Premier League’s Football Stadia Improvement Fund to install new pitch perimeter fencing and gates between the spectator stands and pitch at its Cropston Road ground, Callingtons Community Arena, Anstey Nomads FC invited Edward a
