Edward has visited Queniborough's new 'OneStop' convenience stores at the Barkby Road/ Main Street crossroads, on its opening day following a major refurbishment, and under new ownership to welcome it to the village.
The old shop has been totally transformed and it is unrecognisable from its former self, as a new modern open-plan shopping space providing a village convenience store where people can buy the basics, like a pint of milk or loaf of bread, seven days a week.
Edward said: "Vijay and his team at the shop have done an amazing job in the transformation they have brought about to the shop, with the Post Office located in it due to reopen in the coming weeks. This new 'OneStop' adds to rather than competes with what is offered by the village's long-established, hugely popular, and well-known local butchers and shop, Clarke's in the village, and is a very welcome addition to the services and shops for local people. I would encourage everyone in the village to drop in, say hello to Vijay and the team, and to shop there and to help support the village's new convenience store."
