Edward has joined local Melton Borough Councillor, David Chubb, in Sproxton for a 'Meet Your MP' afternoon drop-in at the Village Hall, as part of his summer visits to villages across the constituency.
As well as meeting local residents over a cup of tea in Sproxton to discuss issues affecting the village, including transport links, broadband, and the importance of rural village pubs to community life, among other things Edward and Councillor Chubb also discussed the need broader national issues, including the state of the economy, the cost of energy, and farming with those who dropped in.
Edward said: "It was fantastic to meet and talk with local residents, along with Cllr David Chubb, and I'm grateful to Malise Graham for everything he did to help organise the drop-in, and to Pam for the tea! I look forward to further village 'Meet your MP' sessions in the coming days and weeks."
