Edward has pledged his support to helping people age better in the UK. He joined Age UK at their event in Parliament to promote their latest campaign: 'Act
Now, Age Better', focussed on the importance for all of us, and for our society, of planning for older age, and of staying active to help us all age better. With an ageing population, and medical advances meaning people are able to live for longer, it is more important than ever that we ensure we are able to live well for longer. There are over 20,000 people in Melton and Syston over 65 years old, so this campaign has the potential to make a real difference for a lot of people.
Edward said: "With an ageing population, its vital that, as a society and as individuals, we act now to better support healthy, active ageing for all. Age UK's new campaign, 'Act Now, Age Better', is calling on us all to think about how we can change the way we age, and how we can better prepare ourselves for getting older, and it was a real pleasure to join the Age UK team at the event to discuss their work and the practical steps we can all take to age better."
