Edward has joined Borough and Parish Councillors, the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, local Police Officers and representatives of Charnwood Borough Council & housing providers at a meeting focussed on tackling ASB in Thurmaston, organised in the village by Thurmaston County, Borough & Parish Councillor Brenda Seaton.
The meeting focussed on how different agencies can continue to work together to help tackle ASB and crime in the village, including around the Checkland Road & Shopping Centre areas, as well as to provide updates on the actions already taken to address local issues that have been reported.
Edward said: "It was a very constructive and useful meeting in Thurmaston, with a clear focus on different organisations working together to tackle ASB and crime issues that are causing concern to local residents and shops, as well as to provide important updates on the significant work that is already underway. I want to thank Cllr Brenda Seaton for her hard work locally on this issue, and for calling the meeting and getting everyone round the table to find solutions and to help support local residents, and I'm grateful to everyone who made the time to attend. I look forward to continuing to work with Brenda, local Councillors, Thurmaston Parish Council and other agencies to do what I can as Thurmaston's local MP to support the work to tackle these issues."
