Horse Racing Event in Parliament

Edward has attended a parliamentary event to recognise the huge contribution horse racing plays in UK sport, but also its economic contribution to the rural economy, ahead of National Horseracing Week. The event, and Week, provide an opportunity to showcase everything the British racing industry, from grassroots to elite level, contributes, and help raise public awareness of the sport.

Edward said: "Horseracing is a sport loved by many up and down our country, but it also plays a huge economic and social role in our rural communities. It was a pleasure to meet the team from the British Horseracing Authority, Cheltenham Racecourse, Horse Welfare Board, and others involved in the sport, to hear about the sport's future plans, as well as that broader contribution to our national sporting life."
